1. Overview
Rousewell is designed to combine mission alarms with personal screen-time routines. Core alarm settings, focus rules, and progress insights are processed and stored on your device. Rousewell does not require an account, serve advertising, sell personal information, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
2. Information Rousewell Handles
Information stored on your device
Rousewell stores the information needed to provide the features you configure, including alarm schedules, wake-mission preferences, focus schedules, selected restrictions, completed wake missions, focused minutes, and distraction-attempt counts. This information remains on your device and is not uploaded by Rousewell.
Screen Time selections
When you choose apps or categories for a focus routine, Rousewell uses Apple’s Screen Time technologies to apply your selections on your device. Rousewell does not upload your Screen Time content or use it to build an advertising profile.
Crash diagnostics
If you choose to share diagnostics with app developers through Apple’s device settings, Apple may make limited crash and performance information available to help diagnose reliability problems. Rousewell uses such information only to maintain and improve app stability.
3. Permissions
Rousewell requests access only when it is needed for a feature you choose to use:
- Notifications: to deliver alarms, reminders, and focus-related notices you schedule.
- Screen Time: to let you select and limit apps or categories during routines you configure.
You can decline a permission or withdraw it later in your device settings. Declining Screen Time access prevents screen-time controls from working, but it does not change the information already stored locally for other available features.
4. How Information Is Used
On-device information is used to run your alarms and missions, apply your chosen focus routines, show local progress insights, remember your preferences, and support the features you request. Rousewell does not use this information for advertising, cross-app tracking, or data brokerage.
5. Sharing
Rousewell does not transmit or share your alarm settings, focus rules, Screen Time selections, or local insights with advertisers, data brokers, or other third parties. Diagnostic information shared through Apple is governed by your Apple analytics settings and Apple’s applicable terms.
6. Retention and Deletion
Core Rousewell information is retained on your device until you change or remove it, reset the relevant settings, or delete the app. Deleting Rousewell removes the app’s locally stored information, subject to the operating system’s normal backup and deletion behavior.
7. Your Choices
You can edit or delete alarms and routines inside Rousewell. You can change notification access and Screen Time authorization in your device settings. You can also stop all local processing by deleting the app.
8. Changes to This Policy
If Rousewell’s data practices change, this policy will be updated before the new practice is introduced, and the “Last updated” date will change. Where required, Rousewell will request permission before using information in a materially different way.
9. Contact
The operator identity and privacy contact for Rousewell will be added here before the app and this policy are published.
